Snowball

First make your own Advocaat, that way you can make sure you are only using free range eggs. This makes about two and a half pints. (so you can gift some to friends).

16 free range egg yolks

700 ml brandy (bottle)

400g sugar

2 tsp vanilla extract

seeds from 1 vanilla pod

Whisk together the egg yolks, sugar and vanilla seeds. Then whisk in the brandy. Heat mixture gently in a bain marie to make the custard thicken. Stir in the vanilla extract, cool and bottle. This must be kept in the fridge.

Snowball ingredients:

30 ml home made advocaat

15 ml ginger spirit

Lemonade to top up to taste

Cocktail cherry to garnish

Add the ingredients in the order listed, stir well and serve.
